Benfluorex was never approved for use in the United States and was withdrawn in the European Union because of an increased risk of pulmonary hypertension and valvular disease.","BENFLUOREX is a small molecule drug with a maximum clinical trial phase of IV (across all indications) that was first approved in 1974 and is indicated for diabetes mellitus and has 1 investigational indication.
